Cuc Phuong - Van Long Nature Reserve for 1 day

Cuc Phuong National Park is one of Vietnam’s most important protected areas. Though wildlife has suffered a precipitous in Vietnam in recent

decades, the park’s 222 square Km of primary tropical forest remains home to an amazing variety of animal and plant life: 307 species of birds, 133 species mammal, 122 species of reptile, 2000 plant species and counting.

Excellent hiking opportunities abound in the park and we will walk to see Endangered Primate Rescue center where some native animals – deer, monkeys, civets, gibbons & langurs and another short trail leads to a steep stairway up to the archeologically significant cave of Prehistoric man, after that walk to the massive 1000 year-old “Big Tree” (Tetrameles Nudiflora).

Van Long Nature Reserve is more glorious limestone pinnacles, this tranquil

reserve comprises a reedy wetland that`s popular with bird-watchers. Among the bird species that have been spotted here are the rare black-faced spoobill, cotton pygmy goose and white-browed crake. Van Long is also one of the last wild refuges of the endangered Delacour`s langur, partly because the wetlands keep predators and poachers at bay.

Daily departure

Morning:
08:00:	Leave your hotel in Ninh Binh get to Cuc Phuong where ecological conservation is
	the first priority. Cuc Phuong has saved an enormous number of rare and valuable
	Animals from extinction.
09:00:	Visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Centre to see the most rare and valuable
	primates of Viet Nam.
10:00:	Continue to transfer to Park Centre and trek for 3 to 4 kilometres/ one way to
	See the 1000 years old-tree, a very popular tour for local and foreign visitors.
	Total trekking time is about two hours.

12:30:	Have lunch at the restaurant in the centre of the Park.

Afternoon:
14:30:	Drive to the Cave of Pre-historic Man to discover how early man lived in the Stone
	cave. Continue transfer to Van Long Nature Reserve and take an one and a half
	hour boat trip to discover the beautiful surrounding countryside, unspoilt nature,
	wild life and a cave system. Coming back your hotel at around 17h30.
