Hoa Lu ancient capital- Thien Ha grottoes

Hoa Lu is the legendary ancient capital of Viet Nam. The old capital was built more than 10 centuries ago under the reign of Dinh Dynasty and Le Dynasty. It was its capital for just 41 years (968-1009). The capital then was moved to Thang Long under the Ly Dynasty (1010). With the size of 3000ha, Hoa Lu is protected by a natural wall with surrounding Trang An limestone mountains and Hoang Long river. The combination between mountains and rivers make Hoa Lu surroundings very picturesque. Hoa Lu is famous for the number of palaces, pagodas, tombs and pavilions that were built by different dynasties. Bao Thien Tue Palace that was plated with gold and silver is very popular with its architecture. There were also two famous temples that were built in the 11th century to dedicate King Dinh Tien Hoang and his successor Le Dai Hanh.

Thien Ha grottoes:
Ninh Binh is a tourist destination which attracts the attention of many domestic and international tourists because it converge a wide range of unique and attractive tourist attractions, of which the most prominent is tourism spiritual history, cultural history and cave exploration. one of them is Thien Ha Galaxy grotto.

Thien Ha Galaxy grotto Eco-Tourism area consists of two main activities: Thien Thanh cave and Thien Ha grotto. This is a scenic spot in the Trang An World Cultural and Natural Heritage Complex, located in Son Ha Commune, Nho Quan District, Ninh Binh Province. This is a beautiful cave with magnificent stalactites and referred to as “Milky Way in the Mountain”.

09:00: Arrive Galaxy grottoes tourist wharf, take small canal among the paddy fields before coming to the land and reach the cave.

10:00 Visit Thien Thanh cave with 150 step up to middle of mountain with stalactites in fanciful colors

11:00 Our guide take you visit Thien Ha Galaxy grottoes The cave’s length is 700 metters including the sparkling dry cave of 200 metters long and the misterious water cave of 500 metters long.To explore the great beauty of this grotto, you need to take a flashlight ( supplied by the boat rowers) along.

12:00 Have lunch in restaurant with local foods

13:00 Ride 3km by bicycle to Visit Hoa Lu ancient capital of Vietnam, dating from the 10th century. Marvel at the ancient architecture and the carvings on wood and stone depictiong daily life, dreams and wishes for peace and good life.

16:30 Back to the hotel
